Benayoun to return?

It is public knowledge that West Ham are very much interested in capturing the signature of the 32 year old Israeli international. Yossi has remained a firm favourite at Upton Park, and for me personally he always will do, he really is a class act. While the last few season’s have not been as inspiring as the form he showed, which had various big clubs chasing his signature, he still has a lot to offer. Benayoun is a confidence player and needs to play regular football, if you disagree just ask liverpool fans who will tell you the same thing, when he’s playing will he is truly world class.
The midfielders creativity and decision making have made his name and could add something that we certainly do not have at the club. While he is lightweight he could open up endless possibilities for Big Sam with his versatility. Benayoun could play out wide or behind the striker (which for me is his best position). playing just ahead of Noble and Nolan he could be what we missed all last season, someone who can link the play between the midfield and the lone striker.
Yossi has added to speculation stating on twitter ”I hope I will have some news about my future soon.” although their is expected to be tough competition to sign the Israeli with Ajax and Maccabi Haifa also interested among many others.
If Gold and Sullivan pull this off I, along with almost every West Ham fan, would welcome him back with open arms, a true professional and real class act.
Surely there isn’t anyone who thinks this would be a bad deal? COYI
